Local Love: Wilmington Shops

I recently spent a few days on Wrightsville Beach at the sweetest beach bungalow with Matt + little Isla. We ventured to a few nearby shops in Wilmington too, before heading down to Little River, South Carolina for a couple nights. While our getaway was just what we needed, I’m already excited to go back.

Before I met Matt, I lived in Wilmington, North Carolina for about five years and still have the very best of friends there. Luckily, we’re only a short drive away and try to get back fairly often, though that’s never really enough. With the city I adore growing so fast, there are many spots and shops we got to explore for the first time together. Here are a few quick snaps of some of my faves:

Airlie Moon | This shop is one I have loved since way way back. Like the beach, the shop is serene and perfectly scented. We picked up several gifts here from a porcelain oyster dish to the best smelling candle and a beaded bracelet too.

The Cargo District | A new development all together featuring some of the sweetest shops including The Plant Outpost, Auggie & Zo, Crafted Outpost, Salty Soap Co., and more. We found an adorable bandana from The Paws for Isla at Auggie & Co.

Figgy Co. | A gorgeous new skincare and clean beauty shop in Lumina Station. This shop saved me when I ran out of my Ursa Major Golden Hour Recovery Cream a day into vacay. They’ll be launching online sales soon, so be on the lookout.

Wrightsville Eats | I don’t have the best photos of all these, but trust me they are each non-negotiable stops when we’re in town: The Workshop for coffee, breakfast, and fossils (um, yes to huge sharkteeth!); Sundays for the best coconut latte I have ever had ever; Zeke’s for the reliably delicious acai bowls and tasty burritos.

Now… excuse me while I go plan our next trip! (Find more pics on my Insta and let me know if you’ve been to any of these must stop shops.)
